Gill Brooke

Chair of Trustees

Gill lives in Woburn Sands, and works within the community in a voluntary role, having recently been Mayor of the town. Gill is a family person, with 2 grown up girls and 2 grandchildren and also care for her mother and father.

Gill has been associated with Sports Traider for the last 5 years, firstly as an employee, more recently returning to help as a trustee. With a background in sales, customer services, and event organisation, Gill uses her people skills to enjoy working with her fellow trustees and the Sports Traider team.

Steve Jones

Trustee

Steve joined the board of trustees in 2019. He has wide business experience and runs a high-level negotiation consultancy. He is also on the board of two other charities: West Berkshire Therapy Centre - which provides rehabilitation facilities for people with neurological conditions and recently won the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service - and Greenham Control Tower.

Judith Harris

Trustee

Judith joined the Board of Trustees in January 2020 bringing with her over twenty years’ experience in procurement and general management. Her particular areas of expertise are sourcing, retail operations, marketing and project management.
She has held senior and executive positions with a number of major retailers, particularly in the Out of Home and Leisure sector.
Judith is currently the Buying Director for a food manufacturer supplying many of the leading retailers in the UK today.

Lance Haggith

Founder and President

Lance has been the driving force behind the charity for the last 10 years and is equally committed to the next 10. Lance’s role means he connects with funding partners, high profile supporters, volunteers and beneficiaries, all on the same day! His passion is to engage with more of each group to increase the impact of the charity.

Martin Keech

Chief Operations Officer

Martin is responsible for all Retail Operations.He ensures that the stores have sufficient stock to achieve their individual goals, he also develop and trains the volunteers so that they can learn skills that will enable them to move on to full time employment.

After working for over 40 years in the textile industry, Martin is now using his retail skills to help out this very worthy Charity. He takes great pride in supporting vulnerable youngsters to learn a trade and give them a stepping stone into full time employment.
